Produktinformation "DS-2225i Serial-to-Ethernet Device Server, 2x RS-422/485 Isolated"
The DS-2225i CR brings RS-422/485 serial devices onto Ethernet, so equipment without a network port can be reached from computers, servers or PLCs across a local network or the Internet. Two isolated RS-422/485 ports with 3000 VDC signal isolation handle the serial side, and the unit is marked RoHS in the ordering description.
Operating modes include Virtual COM, TCP Server and TCP Client, plus pair-connection for serial-bridge or serial-tunnel links that carry data over TCP/IP between two serial devices. The VxComm Utility maps the device to virtual COM ports on 32-bit and 64-bit Windows 7 SP1, 10, 2012 and 2016. Addressing can be static or DHCP, and the built-in web server and UDP search aid configuration and discovery.
The two Ethernet ports form a switch with LAN bypass, allowing daisy-chain wiring that reduces cabling in the field. Power comes either from IEEE 802.3af Class 1 PoE or from a +12 ~ 48 VDC terminal block. The plastic DIN-rail housing is rated for an operating range of -25 ~ +75 °C.
