The EMP-9651-32 is a Windows 10 IoT Enterprise controller that brings EtherCAT master motion control, I/O expansion and operator interface into a single unit. It suits machine builders who want one platform to coordinate up to 32 axes while running HMI and data acquisition tasks on the same hardware.
Motion features include synchronised motion with E-GEAR and E-CAM, virtual axes and multi-axis linear interpolation. Up to 512 EtherCAT nodes can be connected through the single RJ-45 EtherCAT port, using shielded Ethernet cable of at least CAT 5e.
The unit is built around an Intel Core i5-8365UE processor with 16 GB DDR4 memory and a second CPU that supports EtherCAT communication retention. Its six slots accept e9K, I-9K and I-97K series I/O modules, and the front panel provides VGA and HDMI outputs, dual Gigabit Ethernet, USB 2.0, RS-232/RS-485 and RS-485 serial ports.
