The ET-2215H-16 is an Ethernet I/O module for temperature measurement with 16 RTD inputs. Each channel can be configured individually and accepts Pt100, Ni120, Cu50 and Cu100 sensors. Fast Mode gives 90 Hz sampling per channel, while Normal Mode runs at 1.5 Hz per channel, so the module can be matched to the speed the application needs.
Three-wire RTD lead resistance elimination keeps readings accurate across different cable lengths, and open wire detection flags broken sensor connections. The built-in 2-port 10/100 Base-Tx switch with LAN bypass lets engineers chain devices along the network, which reduces cabling and switch hardware. Modbus TCP/UDP, MQTT and SNMP V2c are supported, and the module can be configured through its web server.
For electrically noisy plants, the module provides 3000 VDC I/O isolation and 1500 VDC Ethernet isolation, together with EFT, ESD and surge protection to the levels listed in the specification. It is housed in a metal casing and mounts on DIN-rail or wall.
