ET-2251 CR is an Ethernet I/O module with 16 digital input channels that accept both wet and dry contacts. Each channel can also operate as a 32-bit counter, with a maximum count of 4,294,967,295, so the module suits pulse counting and status monitoring alongside simple switch sensing.
The built-in 2-port Ethernet switch with LAN bypass lets you daisy-chain modules along a network line, which reduces the number of switches and cabling needed. Configuration is handled through the built-in web server, and I/O Pair Connection (Push and Pull) allows local DI data to be written to remote DO channels via Modbus TCP.
For communication, the module supports Modbus TCP/UDP, MQTT as both publisher and subscriber, and SNMP V2c with optional Trap messages for I/O or restart events. Its EMS protection and 3000 VDC I/O isolation support use in electrically noisy industrial environments.
