The I-7188EGD is a palm-sized programmable automation controller that runs embedded ISaGRAF Ver.3 SoftLogic, programmable to IEC 61131-3. It is built around an 80188 CPU running at 40 MHz under the MiniOS7 operating system, and it gives engineers Ethernet connectivity alongside serial communication in a compact DIN-rail housing.
Compared with the standard I-7188EG, this variant adds a 5-digit 7-segment LED display, which shows status information directly on the unit. Otherwise the two share the same core features, including the single 10Base-T Ethernet port, one RS-232 port and one RS-485 port.
- Expansion is possible with an X-Board I/O expansion board, which can add COM ports, I/O or memory.
- ISaGRAF cannot run on 64-bit Windows 7 or 8 PCs; Win-GRAF is the suggested alternative for those systems.
