The PCIe-ENCODER600 CR is a PCI Express x1 motion input card for PC-based systems that need to read six encoder axes at once. Each axis has its own true 32-bit counter, with a maximum encoder counting rate of 4 MHz.
Counting can be set to Quadrant, CW/CCW or PULSE/DIR mode, so the card suits a range of encoder signal formats. The counters can be cleared by software register command, by the C channel index pulse once per revolution, or by external hardware reset inputs HR1 to HR6. The HR pins can also be used as digital inputs when reset is not required.
Eight digital outputs are provided, and the digital I/O is isolated with 2500 Vrms photo-couplers to keep high voltages away from the host system. Device drivers and function libraries are supplied for DOS, Windows and Linux, with LabVIEW support.
