The PISO-ENCODER300U is a Universal PCI card for motion and position feedback in PC-based automation. It provides three independent encoder axes, each with a true 32-bit counter that accepts encoder rates of up to 4 MHz. A third-order internal digital filter helps keep counts reliable on noisy signal lines.
Each axis can be set to Quadrant, CW/CCW or PULSE/DIR counting mode. Counters can be reset through a programmable register command, by the index pulse on the C channel at each revolution, or through the external hardware reset pins HR1 to HR6, which can also serve as digital inputs. The card adds eight digital outputs, isolated by 2500 Vrms photo-couplers to protect the host system from high voltages.
The CR ordering code includes the CA-SC68 SCSI-II 68-pin male connector with solder-type terminals and cover. Device drivers and function libraries are provided for DOS, Windows 7 and Windows XP/2000.
