Produktinformation "PROFI-8455-G PROFIBUS DP Remote I/O Unit with 4 I/O Slots"
PROFI-8455-G is a PROFIBUS DP-V0 slave unit that brings four expansion slots to a PROFIBUS network. Each slot accepts I-8K, I-87K Low Profile or I-87K High Profile I/O modules, so one unit can be built around the mix of signals a machine or process section requires.
Configuration is handled through the GSD file, so the I/O modules fitted to the unit can be selected and set up in the PROFIBUS master without a separate vendor tool. The transmission rate is detected automatically, and the station address is set from 0 to 126 using rotary switches.
Electrical isolation and protection are built in. The PROFIBUS side has 3000 VDC DC isolation, the network side uses High Speed iCoupler isolation, and each terminal is rated for 4KV ESD protection. I-87K High Profile modules can be hot-swapped. The unit is CE, FCC, RoHS and WEEE listed and is suited to factory and process automation installations.
