Produktinformation "RU-87P8-G 8-Slot RS-485 I/O Expansion Unit with Intelligent CPU Module"
RU-87P8-G extends a remote RS-485 network with eight slots for I-87K series I/O modules. Its intelligent CPU module handles the modules locally and reports to the host over a single RS-485 port that supports a multi-drop topology, so one serial line can serve a distributed set of I/O points. The unit supports more than 50 I-87K modules, covering analogue and digital inputs and outputs as well as counter and frequency types.
The unit is built for harsh, electrically noisy sites. It accepts a wide +10 ~ 30 VDC supply and operates between -25 and +75 °C. Modules can be hot-swapped and are configured automatically, which keeps maintenance quick. Fault and error detection, a dual watchdog, programmable power-on behaviour and Safe Values help the system recover predictably after a fault.
Software support includes PACSDK, a LabVIEW driver, an InduSoft driver, a Linux driver and an OPC Server. Modules fitted to the RU-87P8-G can be integrated into a range of software environments. This gray-cover ordering variant mounts on DIN-rail or on a wall.
