USB-2045 CR is a USB 2.0 full-speed I/O module that adds 16 sink-type (NPN, open collector) digital outputs to a PC over a single USB connection. It is bus powered, so no external supply is needed for the module itself, and it works without a driver installation.
Each output channel handles up to 650 mA with overload protection at 1.4 A and short-circuit protection. Power-on and safe output values are programmable, and the module has both a hardware watchdog (1.6 second) and a programmable software watchdog. A safe state can be applied if communication fails, and 16 LED indicators show the status of the outputs.
A utility tool supports configuration and quick I/O testing, and an API library is provided for VB, C++, C#.NET, VB.NET and LabVIEW. The order includes a 1.5M USB cable (CA-USB15), and the cable can be locked in place.
