The uPAC-7186EXD-G CR is a palm-size programmable automation controller that brings serial devices onto Ethernet. Its built-in MiniOS7 framework and C language development tool kits let engineers add Ethernet and Internet communication to RS-232 or RS-485 equipment without building the networking layer themselves. This gray cover version carries the same controller hardware as the standard unit.
Software support includes Modbus libraries, so connected devices can be exposed through the standard Modbus protocol to SCADA packages such as Indusoft, DasyLab, Citect and iFix. Storage comprises 512 KB of flash and 16 KB of EEPROM, and a 5-digit 7-segment LED display gives local status readout.
An I/O expansion bus accepts one X-board for added analogue, digital or serial I/O. The unit is powered from +10 ~ 30 VDC, draws 2.5 W, and is designed for DIN-rail mounting over an operating range of -25 ~ +75 °C.
