The ET-8KP4-MTCP CR extends I-8K and I-87K series I/O modules over Ethernet, giving Modbus TCP masters remote access to four I/O slots. It suits industrial monitoring and control installations where remote I/O needs to be added to an existing Modbus TCP network without a dedicated controller at the I/O location.
Two Ethernet switch ports allow units to be daisy-chained, reducing cabling and saving installation space. The unit accepts a wide 10 ~ 30 VDC input with isolated power and is rated for an operating temperature of -25 ~ +75 °C, making it suitable for harsh and electrically noisy environments.
Installation and maintenance are simplified by auto configuration and LED indicators for fault detection. Watchdog and safe-value features help protect the process if communication is lost. The unit also supports Modbus RTU/ASCII on its RS-232 console port and can act as a Modbus TCP to RTU gateway.
