The GW-2535iM CR converts Modbus TCP traffic into Modbus RTU or ASCII for serial field devices. It suits engineers who need to bring legacy RS-422/485 equipment onto an Ethernet network while adding security features such as Modbus/TCP Security, HTTPS and SNMPv3.
The dual-port Ethernet switch allows devices to be wired in a daisy chain, reducing cabling and switch requirements. If power is lost, LAN bypass keeps Ethernet communication running through the chain. The built-in web server lets you configure the unit from a standard browser, and IP address filtering can allow or block specific hosts.
Three isolated RS-422/485 ports provide 1000 VDC power isolation and 3000 VDC signal isolation, with speeds up to 115200 bps. The unit can be powered by PoE (IEEE 802.3af, Class 2) or by a +12 ~ 48 VDC terminal block, and it mounts on a DIN rail for control cabinet installation.
