The I-8046W-G CR is a 16-channel digital input module from the I-8K/I-87K High Profile PAC I/O range, aimed at engineers who need to read dry contact switches over long cable runs. Each channel is photocoupler isolated, and the module is rated for an effective distance of up to 500 m on dry contact connections.
Protection and noise immunity: Beyond photocoupler isolation, the module offers ±4 kV ESD protection on each terminal (IEC 61000-4-2) and 3750 VDC intra-module isolation, which supports reliable operation in electrically noisy plants.
- Dry contact inputs wired to GND for ON and left open for OFF
- One LED per channel plus a combined power and communication LED for quick fault finding
- Power consumption of 1.3 W max.
