I-87K5 5-Slot RS-485 I/O Expansion Unit for I-87K Modules (DCON)
A 5-slot RS-485 expansion unit that adds I-87K I/O modules to a DCON network through one isolated RS-485 port. Runs from 10 ~ 30 VDC over -25 ~ +75 °C.
- Five slots for I-87K series I/O modules, including analogue, digital, counter and frequency types
- Single RS-485 port with 3000 VDC isolation, suited to multi-drop topologies
- DCON protocol at up to 115200 bps
- Isolated wide-range power input of 10 ~ 30 VDC, drawing 2.0 W
- Operating temperature -25 ~ +75 °C; humidity 10 ~ 90 % RH, non-condensing
- DIN-rail or wall mounting; dimensions 231 x 111 x 75 mm (W x L x H)

Produktinformation "I-87K5 5-Slot RS-485 I/O Expansion Unit for I-87K Modules (DCON)"
The I-87K5 CR extends remote I/O over RS-485, giving engineers five slots for I-87K series modules on a single DCON-addressed port. It is aimed at installations where wiring is shared across several nodes and where the cabinet sees wide supply and temperature variation.
The unit accepts a wide, isolated 10 ~ 30 VDC supply and is rated for -25 ~ +75 °C operation, with storage from -30 ~ +75 °C. The RS-485 port is isolated to 3000 VDC, which helps in electrically noisy plants. Mounting on DIN-rail or wall is supported, and the CR ordering code denotes the blue-cover version.
Supported I-87K modules cover analogue input and output, digital input and output, counter and frequency types. Driver and software support is available for common integration environments, so modules fitted to the unit can be connected to existing host software.
Applications
- Expanding distributed I/O over RS-485 in harsh or electrically noisy environments
- Multi-drop DCON networks carrying I-87K I/O modules
- Remote analogue and digital I/O in industrial control cabinets
