The NS-205AG CR is an unmanaged 5-port Ethernet switch for industrial networks that need gigabit capability without configuration. Each RJ-45 port negotiates between 10, 100 and 1000 Mbps and automatically handles MDI/MDI-X crossover, so devices can be connected with either cable type and the switch adapts to each link.
Power is supplied through a redundant +12 to +48 VDC input with reverse polarity protection, which suits panels with a backup supply. The store-and-forward architecture, IEEE 802.3x and back-pressure flow control, and a 1.5 Mbit frame buffer help keep traffic flowing when several high-bandwidth devices share the switch. Jumbo frames up to 9 K are supported at 1000 Mbps.
Each port has link and data rate LEDs to assist troubleshooting, and an alarm relay output (2 A @ 30 VDC) is provided. Green Ethernet power saving reduces consumption on idle ports. The plastic housing mounts on a DIN rail and is rated for operation from -40 °C to +75 °C.
