NS-205PFC-24V CR is an unmanaged Ethernet switch that combines four 10/100Base-TX RJ-45 ports, four of which act as Power Sourcing Equipment (PSE) for Power over Ethernet, with one 100Base-FX multi-mode fibre port fitted with an SC connector. It lets engineers feed several powered devices from a single cabinet supply while carrying network traffic over fibre, where electrical noise or distance would limit copper links.
Each PoE port supplies up to 15.4 W and detects connected powered devices automatically, managing power accordingly. The fibre port runs at 100 Mbps over multi-mode cable with a stated budget of 12 dBm and a distance of up to 2 km for full duplex operation. The unit accepts a 24 VDC input and includes a boost stage to 48 VDC for PoE output, which suits sites where a 48 VDC supply is not available.
The switch uses store-and-forward processing with wire-speed switching and IEEE 802.3x flow control. It is rated for an isolation of 1500 Vrms for one minute and an operating temperature range of -30 °C to +75 °C. The plastic housing mounts on a DIN rail.
