The PCI-P16C16U CR is a universal PCI card for 3.3 V/5 V slots that gives a host PC 16 optically isolated digital inputs and 16 open-collector sink (NPN) digital outputs. The input side isolates the computer from ground loops and voltage spikes, so field signals can be floated safely.
Each input accepts AC or DC signals from 5 to 24 V, with a selectable DC filter for noisy lines. The outputs suit alarm and warning circuits, signal switching and driving external loads that need a higher voltage level, with each channel rated at 600 mA/+30 V at 100% duty.
Where two or more boards share one computer, the 4-bit Card ID switch lets software identify each card. This order includes a CA-4037W cable and two CA-4002 D-Sub connectors for wiring.
