PCI Express x1 board with twelve 16-bit timers/counters, 16 TTL digital inputs and 16 TTL digital outputs. Designed as a replacement for the PCI-TMC12A series without software or driver changes.

The PEX-TMC12A is a PCI Express x1 board for engineers who need counting, timing and frequency measurement alongside general-purpose digital I/O in a single card. It provides twelve independent 16-bit timers/counters, built from four 82C54-compatible chips, and 16 TTL digital inputs and 16 TTL digital outputs.
Two onboard clock sources, 8 M/1.6 M and 0.8 M/80 K, are selected by jumper and give the timers a high-resolution reference. Timers can be cascaded to 32 or 48 bits, and each gate input can take an external signal or the output of another channel. A Card ID switch lets software identify the board when two or more cards are fitted in the same computer.
The card is intended as a direct swap for the PCI-TMC12A series, so existing software and drivers should not need modification. This ordering code, PEX-TMC12A CR, includes one CA-4002 D-Sub connector.
