The RS-405FT CR is a DIN-rail mounted industrial Ethernet switch that joins copper and fibre segments in a redundant ring. It combines three 10/100Base-TX RJ-45 ports with two 100Base-FX multi-mode ST fibre ports, and uses the built-in Cyber-Ring technique alongside STP to form a redundant ring topology.
Choose this model when a ring needs multi-mode fibre links and fast recovery from a copper link failure, which the source gives as approximately 20 ms. Redundant +10 VDC to +30 VDC power inputs and a relay alarm output help with monitoring power and network faults.
