The RSM-405FT CR is a five-port industrial Ethernet switch built for redundant ring topologies. Three shielded RJ-45 copper ports (10/100Base-TX) sit alongside two 100Base-FX multi-mode ports with ST connectors, so the unit can join copper and fibre segments in the same ring. Its built-in Cyber-Ring technique lets several switches form a redundant ring, and a copper link failure is typically detected and recovered within approximately 20 ms.
Configuration is kept simple, with redundancy mode and maximum recovery time set through DIP switches rather than software. Two DC power inputs can be connected at the same time, and a relay output signals a power or network link failure. Modbus remote monitoring and a Modbus OPC server are supported for integration with supervisory systems.
The metal housing is rated IP30 and mounts on DIN-rail or wall. The ordering code includes the 4SNPNA010021G wall mount kit. The operating temperature range is 0 ~ +70 °C, which suits environments within that range.
