The SFP-1G13S-LX20 CR is a 1000Base-LX20 small form-factor pluggable module for single-mode fibre links of up to 20 km. Operating at a 1310 nm wavelength with an LC connector, it is intended for use with fibre switches where long-reach gigabit connectivity is needed without copper cabling.
Because the module supports hot plugging, it can be fitted or replaced while the host equipment is running, which simplifies network extension and maintenance. Moving the link onto fibre also helps reduce EMI and noise interference on the Ethernet wiring.
