The XV315 CR is a multifunction XV-board expansion module combining three RTD temperature inputs, three analogue outputs and four digital inputs in one unit. Each RTD channel can be configured individually, so different sensor types can be mixed on the same module.
Designed with long sensor cable runs in mind, the module compensates for lead resistance on 3-wire RTD connections, so readings stay accurate regardless of wire length. Open wire detection on the RTD inputs helps identify broken sensor connections quickly.
The analogue outputs can be set to 0 ~ +10 VDC, 0 ~ +20 mA or +4 ~ +20 mA, and the digital inputs accept either sink or source wiring and can operate as 32-bit counters. Photocoupler isolation, 2000 VDC intra-module isolation and 4 kV ESD protection support reliable operation in electrically noisy industrial environments. Communication is via RS-232 using Modbus/RTU.
