Produktinformation "I-2541 RS-232/422/485 to Multi-Mode Fibre Converter, 2 km ST"
The I-2541 CR converts a single RS-232, RS-422 or RS-485 serial port to a multi-mode ST fibre link, extending serial communication up to 2 km. Because the signal travels as light, the link is immune to EMI/RFI and is suited to runs where transmission must be protected from electrical exposure, surges or chemical corrosion.
The converter supports RS-232/422 point-to-point connections as well as RS-485 multi-drop networks. Automatic RS-485 direction control, protection against lightning strikes and ESD protection on the data line help keep the serial link reliable in demanding installations.
Power is supplied from +10 VDC to +30 VDC (non-isolated) with a consumption of 1.5 W. The plastic housing mounts on a DIN rail and is rated for an operating temperature of -25 ~ +75 °C.
