The RFU-IO-433 CR extends Modbus RTU control over a 433 MHz radio link. A remote Modbus master, using a 433 MHz wireless converter such as the RFU-433, sends commands over the air to the I/O module on this unit, allowing remote digital or analogue I/O to be used without running cabling to each point.Radio performance can be tuned to suit site conditions. The unit offers 16 RF channels with 100 kHz spacing, RF baud rates from 650 to 57600 bps, and four group IDs (0 to 3) to keep adjacent 433 MHz networks apart. Output power defaults to 10 dBm and can be raised to a maximum of 19 dBm. Repeater mode can be used to extend reach or cover dead zones, and I/O pair-connection mode allows remote I/O control without a host. This single-slot version accepts one XV I/O board and is intended for DIN-rail installation. It operates from 10 to 30 VDC and is rated for -25 to +75 °C. Settings are made through rotary and DIP switches, which simplifies commissioning and later equipment replacement.ApplicationsRF I/O modeRepeater mode1-to-1 pair-connection mode1-to-many pair-connection mode
