The I-7188EG CR is a palm-sized programmable automation controller that combines an 80188 processor running at 40 MHz with embedded ISaGRAF Ver.3 SoftLogic, so control logic can be written to IEC 61131-3 and run directly on the unit. It suits compact control tasks where a small footprint and Ethernet connectivity are both needed.
Communication is handled by one 10Base-T RJ-45 Ethernet port, one RS-232 port and one RS-485 port, with serial rates up to 115200 bps. The controller supports Modbus RTU/ASCII master operation as well as Modbus RTU and Modbus TCP/IP slave operation, and includes DCON, Fbus and Ebus options along with a user-defined protocol. Where more serial ports or I/O are required, an X-Board expansion board can be fitted.
This ordering code is the standard variant without the 5-digit 7-segment LED display offered on the I-7188EGD. The unit mounts on a DIN rail, draws 2.0 W from a +10 to 30 VDC supply and is rated for operation from -25 to +75 °C.
