LP-2241MX-4GE CR is a Linux-based programmable automation controller built around a 1 GHz Cortex-A8 processor with 512 MB DDR3 SDRAM and 512 MB flash. It runs Linux kernel 3.2.14 and offers real-time capability for time-critical control tasks, with web, SFTP and SSH services built in for remote access and maintenance.
Engineers choose this unit when a control site needs cellular connectivity. The integrated 4G module supports WCDMA, FDD LTE and GSM bands, and the GPRS and SMS functions allow field instruments, meters and controllers to send data back over the mobile network. Two RJ-45 Ethernet ports, four serial ports (RS-232/RS-485) and an XV-board expansion bus extend the unit for local I/O and device connections.
The metal housing is designed for DIN-rail or optional wall mounting and operates from +12 VDC to +48 VDC across a -25 ~ +75 °C operating range. A 64-bit hardware serial number supports software copy protection, and dual watchdog timers and a real-time clock assist with dependable unattended operation.
