Produktinformation "PDS-720 Serial-to-Ethernet Device Server, 1x RS-232 + 1x RS-485"
The PDS-720 CR links a standard RS-232 device and an RS-485 device to an Ethernet network. Its built-in COM ports can be presented as standard COM ports on a Windows PC using the VxComm driver and utility, so existing serial software can continue to work across the network without modification.
Beyond simple serial bridging, the unit runs the built-in MiniOS7 real-time operating system and can be programmed through the Xserver structure to build custom Ethernet applications. It also operates as a Modbus TCP to RTU/ASCII gateway, suited to SCADA and HMI systems that communicate over Modbus TCP. The module is supplied with the CA-0910 cable.
The housing is plastic and measures 72 mm x 35 mm x 112 mm, with DIN-rail or wall mounting. Power is taken from a +10 ~ 30 VDC terminal block, and the unit is rated for operation from -25 ~ +75 °C with 5 ~ 90% RH non-condensing humidity.
