The VP-1239-CE7-1500 combines a Windows CE 7.0 programmable automation controller with a 5.7-inch touch TFT display and a six-key rubber keypad in one unit. A Cortex-A8 CPU running at 1 GHz runs the control and HMI functions on a single platform, so the operator panel and the logic do not need separate hardware. The -1500 suffix denotes the 1500-tag InduSoft Web Studio Runtime, which is pre-installed.
Expansion is through three slots for high-profile I/O modules. Communications comprise one 10/100/1000Base-TX Ethernet port, one non-isolated RS-232 port, one RS-485 port with 2500 VDC isolation and two USB connectors. Memory includes 128 MB SDRAM, 256 MB flash, 128 KB MRAM and a microSD socket fitted with a 4 GB card.
Web HMI pages can be opened from Internet Explorer over an intranet, the internet or a dial-up modem, and the unit provides FTP, web and embedded SQL servers. A 64-bit hardware serial number supports software protection. The IP65 front panel and -20 ~ +70 °C operating range make it suitable for demanding panel installations, and DLLs are supplied for VC and Visual Studio .NET 2008 development.
