The WP-8828-CE7 CR is the eight-slot model in the Win-GRAF WinPAC-8000-CE7 range from ICP DAS. It pairs a 1.0 GHz Cortex-A8 controller with Windows CE 7.0 and an embedded Win-GRAF SoftLogic runtime. Its eight expansion slots accept I-8K (parallel-type) and I-87K (serial-type) I/O modules, so the controller can be configured for larger I/O counts than the one- or four-slot variants.
Windows CE 7.0 provides hard real-time capability and deterministic control, with a PC-like display and operating environment. Control logic is developed in Win-GRAF following IEC 61131-3, while HMI and data management applications can be written in VB .NET or C# and exchange data with the Win-GRAF logic.
Communication options include an OPC UA server, Modbus TCP/IP and Modbus RTU master and slave, and DCON protocols. Two RJ-45 10/100/1000 Base-TX ports, one RS-232 port and one RS-485 port (3000 VDC isolated) are fitted, alongside two USB 2.0 ports, a VGA output and redundant power inputs.
