The XW507 CR is an expansion board for the uPAC-50xx and WP-51xx series controllers. It adds a single non-isolated RS-422/485 serial port alongside five isolated digital inputs and five isolated digital outputs, so one board covers both serial connectivity and discrete I/O expansion.
The serial port runs at up to 115,200 bps and buffers data in 128-byte FIFOs. Parity, data bit and stop bit settings are configurable, which suits attaching bar code readers, intelligent sensors, instrumentation or computers that use an RS-422 or RS-485 interface.
The digital inputs are wet-contact type with sink/source capability and 3750 Vrms isolation. The outputs are isolated open-collector sink (NPN) channels rated for 10 to 40 VDC loads, each handling 200 mA at 25 °C. The board draws 0.4 W and operates from -25 to +75 °C.
