The TPD-280U-H CR is a compact touch HMI that replaces mechanical switches with programmable control panels. Its 2.8-inch TFT colour touch screen offers a 240 x 320 resolution and fits a standard wall-mount outlet, which suits building and home automation installations where a small, user-defined interface is needed.
Communication is handled through one RS-485 port with Self-Tuner and Modbus RTU support, while the on-board real-time clock supports time-based operation. A USB Mini-B client port is provided for firmware updates only. The unit is powered from a +12 ~ 48 VDC terminal block and draws 1.5 W.
Application programs are created in the free HMIWorks tool, which offers Ladder Designer for PLC-oriented users and a C language environment for those who prefer text-based development. A custom communication protocol can also be implemented in C.
