The ZT-2570 CR is a ZigBee Coordinator converter that connects RS-232, RS-485 and Ethernet equipment to an IEEE 802.15.4 personal area network in the 2.4 GHz ISM band. As coordinator, it initialises and manages network routing, with a maximum of 255 slaves.
For engineers who need a wireless link without rewriting host communication, the unit provides Modbus RTU and Modbus TCP gateway operation using broadcast or unicast transmission. Broadcast can serve as a redundant transmission path, while unicast reduces network loading. AES-128 encryption protects wireless traffic, and source identification is available for non-addressed device data.
Configuration is handled through a Windows GUI utility, which includes a topology utility for network monitoring and improvement. Adjustable RF output of up to 10 dBm EIRP and a 5 dBi omni-directional antenna give a line-of-sight range of 300 metres. The unit is DIN-rail mountable and runs from +10 VDC to +30 VDC.
