The PCI-M512U CR is a universal PCI card that combines 512 KB of SRAM with 12 digital inputs and 16 digital outputs, all at 5 V/TTL levels. It fits both 3.3 V and 5 V PCI slots, so it suits a range of host PCs used for data acquisition and digital control.
Two lithium batteries keep the SRAM contents when the PC loses power. According to the source, they can retain the data for 10 years. Because there are two batteries, one can be replaced while the other keeps the memory powered, so the stored data is not lost during the swap. Four on-board LEDs show the battery state, including normal, low voltage and fault conditions.
The digital inputs and outputs use static update operation with a typical response speed of 1.0 MHz. The card has a 20-pin box header x 2 connector and a 4-bit card ID. The operating range is 0 ~ +60°C, and it is CE, UKCA, RoHS and WEEE listed.
