PISO-730AU-5V CR is a universal PCI card providing 32 optically isolated digital I/O channels (16 inputs and 16 outputs) alongside 32 TTL-level digital I/O channels (16 inputs and 16 outputs). It suits engineers who need galvanically separated signals next to direct logic-level connections on one host PC.
The isolated inputs and outputs use optocouplers rated at 3750 Vrms, so field signals can float relative to the host ground. This prevents ground loops and shields the computer from damaging voltage spikes. Each isolated output includes an integral suppression diode for inductive loads, which makes the channels practical for alarms, signal switching and driving external circuits that need a higher voltage level.
This ordering code includes one CA-4002 D-Sub connector. The card is intended for factory automation, product test and laboratory automation work.
