XW511i CR is an RS-485 port expansion board that adds four isolated serial ports to compatible uPAC-50xx and WP-51xx series controllers. Each port has a 128-byte FIFO buffer and supports communication speeds up to 115,200 bps, making it suited to projects that need several serial links on one controller.
Isolation of 2500 Vrms separates the serial ports from the controller, while onboard ESD protection devices divert electrostatic discharge away from sensitive circuitry. These features are intended for harsh industrial environments where transient charges could otherwise damage the board.
Ports support parity options of None, Even, Odd, Mark and Space, with 5 to 8 data bits and 1, 1.5 or 2 stop bits. The board is rated for an operating temperature of -25 ~ +75 °C and draws 0.8 W.
