Produktinformation "tGW-715i-UL Modbus TCP to RTU/ASCII Gateway, PoE, Isolated RS-422/485"
The tGW-715i-UL CR bridges Modbus TCP hosts and serial Modbus RTU or ASCII devices over Ethernet, removing the cable length limits of legacy RS-485 links. It suits engineers who need to bring existing serial instruments or controllers onto a TCP/IP network without changing the field devices.
The isolated variant adds 3000 VDC signal isolation on its single RS-422/485 port, which helps protect the serial bus from ground differences between sites. The gateway can also route data between two serial Modbus devices across TCP/IP, supporting pair-connection, serial-bridge and serial-tunnel arrangements. A read-cache stores previous requests and responses, so repeated queries from several masters to the same slave can be answered faster and with less load on the RS-485 bus.
Power can come from an IEEE 802.3af Class 1 PoE switch over standard Ethernet cable, or from a +12 ~ 48 VDC terminal block input. The standard operating temperature range is -25 ~ +70 °C. A DC-jack to 2-wire power cable, 0.3 M (CA-002-UL), is included.
